RICS home survey
Whether you currently own a property that you wish to improve, or you are thinking of buying a property, then you may wish to consider employing a Chartered Building Surveyor to offer advice and guidance.
As a practice we offer both Architectural Design services and Building Survey services. Buying a new home is a big financial commitment, so understandably you may wish to seek advice as to the condition of the property before committing to purchase, in doing so you will be aware of any repairs required that may affect the value of the property and the future maintenance involved.
We also have extensive experience in architectural design, so if you are considering a new extension or alterations to improve the layout of your property, we can help guide you through the design process from start to finish.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
As chartered surveyors we have the benefit of closely inspecting buildings as they deteriorate, we are able to identify weaknesses in their original design, or in the way they have been adapted over time. This puts us in a great position to be able to consider the durability of a structure and future maintenance issues at the design stage, along with considering the fundamentals of appearance and functionality.
RESIDENTIAL SURVEYS
The RICS Homebuyer (without valuation) survey is an inspection and report service on the condition of a property. The Homebuyer survey is designated a Level 2 survey by the RICS and is suitable for more modern properties of traditional construction. We offer the RICS Homebuyer survey for properties built from around 1830 onward. This type of survey provides a numbered conditional rating system to more easily identify urgent issues and repairs which may affect the value of the property, and important issues for you to consider prior to commitment to purchase. A more detailed explanation of the RICS Homebuyer survey can be found here
